The New Horizons Band invites people to rediscover the joy of music, one note at a time. This concert band brings people together from all walks of life: some who haven’t played in decades, others picking up an instrument for the very first time. The goal? Make music, have fun, and build community.
Led by retired Laconia High School music educator Debbi Gibson, the New Horizons Band of the Lakes Region offers an encouraging, no-pressure environment for learning and growth. “It’s not just about the music,” Gibson says. “It’s about creating something beautiful together — and laughing along the way.” “Being part of a band is like being part of something bigger than yourself,” Gibson says. “It’s energizing for the mind, soul, and body.” Whether you’re looking to rekindle your musical spark or ignite it for the first time, the New Horizons Band of the lakes Region offers a place to belong — and to be heard.
