Dust Off Your Instrument – The Band Is Back Together!

New Horizons Band invites people to rediscover the joy of music, one note at a time

Have you ever played an instrument—or always dreamed of it? Whether your instrument is collecting dust in the attic or you’ve just thought of playing an instrument, the New Horizons Band in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region wants you.

This welcoming concert band brings people together from all walks of life: some who haven’t played in decades, others picking up an instrument for the very first time. The goal? Make music, have fun, and build community.

Led by retired Laconia High School music educator Debbi Gibson, the New Horizons Band offers an encouraging, no-pressure environment for learning and growth. “It’s not just about the music,” Gibson says. “It’s about creating something beautiful together—and laughing along the way.”

Rehearsals are held Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. at the Music Clinic in Belmont. Beginners are paired with mentors, and everyone is supported as they learn, rehearse, and ultimately perform music that moves both player and listener alike.

“Being part of a band is like being part of something bigger than yourself,” Gibson says. “It’s energizing for the mind, soul, and body.”

Whether you’re looking to rekindle your musical spark or ignite it for the first time, New Horizons Band offers a place to belong—and to be heard.

Please join us at our OPEN HOUSE on October 7, 2025 from 7-8 p.m. at the Music Clinic in Belmont. RSVP HERE.
